Quote 3 of the 3day Quote challenge

The ship of my life may or may not be sailing on calm and amiable seas. The challenging days of my existence may or may not be bright and promising. Stormy or sunny days, glorious or lonely nights, I maintain an attitude of gratitude. If I insist on being pessimistic, there is always tomorrow. Today I am blessed. – Maya A

I’m grateful for the ability to be grateful.

One of my most used expression is “I’m so grateful “/ “Lord I’m grateful “.

I can never get tired of being grateful. Sometimes life does try, like really try to make one so forgetful of things to be thankful for. And that happens more when we take our eyes away from ourselves and have it locked on others. We to compare and contrast, most time in an unhealthy fashion. Aside seeds of ungratefulness such comparison also breeds things like envy, greed, covetousness, and the likes.

When I pray in the mornings, my first line is almost always is “Lord I’m grateful for the gift of life”. It is a constant reminder that for the one million and one things my mind may choose to remember that I don’t have, there is this one thing I have that maters the most. If I am not alive, I wouldn’t even be aware of the numerous things I go on to worry about.

There might be storms and all but this Ship is still sailing, and not sailing alone. The Captain of my life got me. And I’m forever grateful!
